Brian helped us review our data center costs and bill to determined ways to decrease costs. He recommend purchasing our own backup hardware and helped us find the backup hardware that fit our needs and our budget. This reduced our monthly data center bill by $2,500/month.

We needed to move from a shared firewall to our own dedicated firewall. The data center ordered a firewall and attempted to install it. We had down time and/or slow speeds for a 48 hour period while the data center tech tried to get it working. This was extremely damaging to our business, but the data center insisted they could handle the installation. After 48 hours of slow speeds, our customers were fed up and so were we. We contacted Uptime Consulting. Brian came up with a plan of action. He immediately started researching information about the firewall we had purchased and made a list of all the problems/solutions for the common and not so common problems with it. Then he scheduled a time. Because he was prepared, the downtime was minimal and the firewall worked.

We had moved from one data center to another and left some old equipment behind in the move. Our old data center was about 2 hours away and he was able to pick up our old equipment and bring it to us.

Like many computer and internet businesses, we have had many problems with our hardware and software along the way. When we have these problems, the first person we think of to help us fix it is Brian."
